It’s been a helluva year.
This year brought us to Puerto Rico, to Iceland, to Vancouver, and introduced us to dozens of amazing video subjects that we’d never otherwise meet.
Some of our favorite videos from this year (in case you missed ’em):
- Don – A Day in the Life of a NYC Shoe Shiner,
- Mouni – A Day in the Life of a NYC delivery driver,
- Madame Vivien V – A Day in the Life of a Drag Queen,
- Kelly – NYC’s New Curry Master,
- Liton – A Day in the Life of a NYC Fruit Vendor,
- Brandur in Iceland – He Can’t Walk So He Learned to Fly,
- Jose – Ditching It All to Rebuild Puerto Rico
- Amelie – She’s Redefining Chinese Takeout
2 years ago, after getting home from traveling, we set out on a humble mission: to find and show you interesting people, the ones who are all around you.
We had no idea it could go this far.
This year, our audience has grown to over 250,000+ global fans, all part of this journey to live curious with us.
We’ve produced 128 stories, every single week, for 2 full years, and people have seen them over 33 MILLION times. ?
So what’s next for us in 2019?
The first thing is: we’re taking a break.
After 2 years making a video every single week, it’s time to finally catch our breath.
We’re both heading to Mexico (separately) for a creative recharge. You won’t see a new video from us next week.
We’ll cool off and reemerge in 2019 with renewed creative energy and more great people to show you, in some form or another. We’ve got some potentially big projects in the works with some amazing new partners, and we can’t wait to bring you with us on those.
But in the meantime, we hope you continue to #livecurious, to stay tuned in to the people around you, and to recognize that no matter where you are, you’re surrounded by fascinating people.
If you do so, who will you meet in 2019??
Thanks for being part of this journey.
And for the last time this year….
Say it with me….
Rally on!!!
Oh, and one last thing.
Over the last 2 years, we’ve learned a lot about what makes people interesting. We made this video about what we’ve learned. You can watch it here. Enjoy!
